lincoln is man with big beard....and if larry king in his interview says "Lincoln sir....you have the longest beard in the whole of mid west" then lincoln used to say "Yes I do know that"...he is not being modest here...he knows he has the longest beard and he is acknowledging it by accepting it in larry king live....
if he had said "I dont think so...there might other people with longer beards...my beard is nothing" then he is being modest....

On the other hand Lincoln never used to flaunt his beard b4 everyone and claim that he has the longest beard just because he has the longest beard in mid west..no sir he never used to do that..he is a man of humble nature..not a show off..so he is being humble about his asset and at the same time not being modest when someone points to him about his strength....

b4 u just jump into something basically wat SAP does is it helps u run ur business...right
Now wat are the steps that are involved in a typical business .... for eg lets take a business which has more mass appeal.....Strip Clubs....they manufacture Strippers n they sell them to clients....
now our client is "Spearmint Rhino" in las vegas....
the business starts from manufacturing these strippers....
How do u manufacture these strippers....you try to find an insecure n some one with low self esteem but who looks very pretty then u teach her how to dress like a stripper u buy her cosmetics body perfumes n u teach pole dance n how to converse with customers
so the additions of all these raw materials "girl with low self esteem+cosmetics+pole+art of conversation" = the final product (Stripper)
and now this whole process of manufacturing like defining formulas and identifying the raw materials n plan for num of strippers based on demand they all come under the module "Production Planning" this is pretty depressing for me as u have to see plants and how everything is made and if ur in meat industry u will commit suicide....

Now once these strippers are manufactured you keep them at a guest house for storage....and they are picked up first in first out for dancing....so "ware house management" this is also pretty boring module....

Now to make these girls into strippers u were dealing with lot of raw material which u would be buying from other vendors....for eg stripper clothes from love boutiques...love boutique is ur vendor....cosmetics from victoria secrets ...victoria secrets ur vendor too...u have to raise purchase orders....then u get ur goods ...they raise invoices...all that stuff...the module is "Material management"...this is a bit interesting as its more process oriented....

Then you have all these strippers and how you have to price them ...how much u charge for lap dances....here u have different conditions right....u have a stripper who is cute u have one price for them...then u have strippers who r obese u have seperate prices for them....so pricing...then u sell these strippers to customers for one or two hours..u start with sales order...then delivering them to customer....then Invoicing....all this and many more operations like rebates n commisions n discounts come under "Sales and Distribution"

and now finance starts

And then for all the raw materials u bought from vendors u have to pay them right....victoria secrets accepts payments only in checks....love boutique favors EFTs....etc etc .... and then u have discounts and taxes and etc etc...all are covered in "Accounts Payables"

And then to deal with customers....u have customers john n dean n ferrari n ntrrocks etc etc etc ....all these used ur strippers...so they got to pay u for the strippers services...and john pays with check...dean pays with credit card n ntrrocks never pays n ferrari pays with cash....so "accounts recievables" most interesting module in finance...

Then how to manage cash...ban balances...pooling...hedging bongu bhoshanam "treasury"...idhi master chesavantey u will be king)

And then all ur customers need credit....but all ur customers dont have good credit history...john always paid on time...and ntrrocks never paid........wat is the credit risk of each customer...how much should be credit limit...wats the Dunn n brad ratings....etc etc etc ...so comes "Credit Management"....

Then sometimes u deliver the stripper but the customer says he never got the girl....or he says he asked for brunette u sent a blonde and refuses to pay...or he says he took only 2 dances u invoiced him for 4 dances....so he is underpaying u....he is disputing a transaction so comes "Dispute Management"....

Then sometimes the customer never pays u right....so u know about collection calls...they have system defined that let them knows when to call the customer...u dont want to call john n ntrrocks at same time...ntrrocks past history not good so u wont be leninent with him...john always pays on time so u try to give him some leniance...all these rules n processes are desinged in "Collections Management"

Then apart from these u can budget n cost ur strippers n u run profitability on each stripper....etc etc ect etc and u can run various analysis reports for planning ... some complex reports where BW comes into pic....

u see sap does everything man...so u chose which part of business excites u more and go with that module....
